EMF Radiation affects sleep in humans but can be addressed
Study performed by staff of EMF Solutions and results below written by Cory Hillis, President of EMF Solutions & EMF Specialist.
Abstract: Good sleep should be considered at the top of the list of important factors in achieving a healthy life. If a person does sleep well, it is argued that they’re unable to achieve the best health possible. When sleep is a problem daily fatigue often results, making everything harder to do or harder to achieve in a person’s life, including the steps a body can take to get or remain in good health.
Many things happen during “good sleep” including production of much of the next day’s adrenaline, healing and repairing mechanisms, and more.
There have already been several studies demonstrating that EMF radiation has effects on the ability of people to sleep well, dream deeply, or feel rested upon waking up in the morning. One example is a recent study showing that a 2.45 GHz frequency from a baby monitor can have effects on how well babies and children sleep. But similar EMF radiation has been shown to affect every age from children to adults almost countless studies.
The mechanism by which EMF radiation can have effects on people, including sleep, has been studied and it has been theorized as a VGCC problem. EMF radiation effects people via these VGCCs, or “Voltage-Gated Calcium Channels.” It has been shown that EMFs from common household devices cause these intracellular, double-ion calcium channels (VGCCs) to malfunction, which then causes them to open and remain open. This leads to an overabundance of double ion calcium molecules inside of the cell which has significant effects on our cell health and our overall health according to Dr Martin Pall and other Biochemists. Dr Pall explains how this process likely how fatigue and worsening sleep result, and possibly how all biological effects and symptoms arise from EMF exposure.
This study has shown that by properly addressing the VGCC issue, subjects are significantly more likely to experience noticeably better sleep and often more energy (less fatigue) as well. Moreover, of all of the testimonials given by addressing the EMFs and the VGCC issue, better sleep was by far the most common.
Terminology:
ELF: “Extremely low frequency” which is usually from electricity which in the US is 60 Hertz. ELF can go up to 300 Hz.
EMF: Electromagnetic Frequency. It is a term for all radiation including ionic, the higher frequency radiation as well as the lower frequency, non-ionic radiation. Often when people use the term they refer to the non-ionic radiation such as the common household radiation of microwaves and radio waves.
Low frequency radiation: X-ray, gamma rays, and nuclear power are super high frequencies called ionic radiation which starts at about 1,000 trillions of waves per second, a quadrillion. Lower frequency radiation is considered anything under that frequency which includes microwaves, radiowaves, and other frequencies often in the billions of waves per second (Hertz) and below.
Voltage-Gated Calcium Channels: Double ion calcium channels on nearly every cell in the human body. It has been theorized and shown that these are the mechanism in which the low frequency radiation (EMF) can affect human cells and ultimately people as a whole.
Introduction:
There are thousands of studies and research articles showing how EMF radiation from household devices can affect the health of humans. One of the most common symptoms claimed is having worse sleep. Having fatigue or “less energy” is the second most common symptom observed. It is believed that the most credible science explaining how EMFs are affecting people comes from research by scientists on the Voltage-Gated Calcium Channels (VGCCs). It’s been shown that VGCCs malfunction when in the presence of low frequency EMF radiation as well as around low frequency ELF as well. According to Biochemists such as Dr Martin Pall, this malfunction can and likely does explain all of the symptoms and biological effects of low frequency EMF radiation.
In normal conditions, without EMFs, the VGCC activation happens when there is a voltage change, or an electrical pressure differential from the outside versus the inside of a human cell. It is normally this change that triggers the channel to open and allow calcium ions to enter a cell.

EMFs are causing a malfunction to occur, causing the channel to open when it should not be, when there is no voltage change. It has been shown in studies that the calcium levels can double or even triple the levels in a short time around radio waves such as a Wi-Fi router. See Diagram 2.

EMF Solutions claims to address the root cause of EMFs. If successful their products would have to demonstrate that they also addressed or fixed the calcium channel malfunction. In a 2021 independent laboratory study, EMF Solutions products became the first to show they did that, restoring the levels of calcium in human cells back to normal with a perfect probability “p” value = 0.001 in their study.
This study set out to test if the Calcium Channel is fixed could the most common symptom, worse sleep, also be addressed by using EMF Solutions’ products?
Twenty subjects were picked randomly to have EMF radiation remediated by EMF Solutions. It turns out all were adults. Five of them were doctors or holistic practitioners. Thirteen were female and seven were male. All of them had their entire home remediated according to the EMF Solutions’ protocol which consisted of a Home Harmonizer on the electric meter, Better ZZZs under the bed mattress, Device Chips on Wi-Fi routers and printers, Cell Chips on cell phones, Laptop Chips on laptops and tablets, and a personal protection product to wear when they were not home. The personal protection products were either the XL Band or the XXL Card.
All subjects had a Wi-Fi router, a cell phone, and a “Smart” electric meter on the outside of their homes. All of these emit radio wave radiation which has been shown in studies to affect sleep.
Twenty-two people were chosen randomly but two with extraordinary EMF circumstances were excluded from participating because they either had Solar Panels on the home or were living within a block of a cell tower or XL powerlines.
After remediation subjects were asked if they had experienced or noticed anything different. They were asked this between the first and seventh day of installation. No suggestions were made as to what they might feel differently before versus after using the products. It was an open-ended question with no multiple choice given. This design would suppress not enhance the number of sleep related testimonials yet still there were significant results.
Discussion & Conclusions:
55% of the subjects reported better sleep and 45% of those subjects also reported feeling more energy. This was by far the most common testimonial. Some of those reporting better sleep reported having a sleep issue before installation, but many did not report having any sleep issues prior to installation. It stands to reason that many people’s sleep is being affected by EMFs but they have not recognized this fact yet.
Other less common observed effects were a feeling of calmness plus better memory and mental clarity.
These results were significant, and further studies should be conducted which should include a study on people who already claim to have sleep issues to see how many might be partially or solely because of household EMF radiation. Another study is planned to use a sleep monitoring device, such as a Fitbit, for more statistical data as well.
